Description
8 Disciplines or 8D is a problem-solving methodology that is designed for the identification of a problem, tracing its root cause, creating a temporary fix, implementing a long-term solution to correct the problem, and finally developing a proactive approach to generate preventive actions.
The 8D Problem Solving Whiteboard Kit is made up of 9 sections which sit together to make a 2.4 metre wide x 1.2 metre high problem solving board, allowing you to easily implement 8D in your workplace. The Eight Disciplines (8D) method is one of the most widely used problem-solving tools related to nonconformities recurrence prevention which refers to the actions and measures taken to identify and address the root causes of nonconformities or deviations from established standards or requirements, with the goal of preventing their recurrence in the future. It involves teams working together in order to solve problems, using eight structured steps.

- Step 4a: Ishikawa or Fishbone diagram (787 x 515 mm W x H)

- Step 6: Implementation of Permanent Corrective Actions (787 x 322 mm W x H)
- Step 7: Identification & Implementation of Future Preventative Actions (787 x 322 mm W x H)
- Step 8: Team recognition (787 x 322 mm W x H)
Each one of these custom printed 8D whiteboard sheets is supplied with magnetic backing which fixes to the MagiMount plates which are attached to the wall and comprise the problem solving steps above. You can see how this works by watching the video found in the video tab above.
