Description
The VSM Go-See Scheduling icon is a pair of “go and see” goggles which indicate that information is being collected through physical observation, such as when a supervisor performs a visual check of inventory. This is conceptually similar to lean manufacturing and revolves around elimination of wastes by going on Gemba walks in the factory. Gemba is shop floor management and decision making based on observations. Use this in the space where you think there is a strong need to get into the zone and observe the process to gain an understanding of the real scenario.
